VocabMe ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our VocabMe mobile application.
VocabMe stores vocabulary words and associated definitions that you save within the app. All this data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
VocabMe uses the Free Dictionary API (https://dictionaryapi.dev/) to retrieve word definitions, synonyms, and examples. When you look up a word, your search query is sent to this third-party service. Please refer to their privacy policy for information about how they handle data.
All vocabulary words, definitions, and quiz statistics are stored locally on your device using iOS's built-in storage mechanisms. We do not have access to this data, and it is not backed up to any external servers.
VocabMe does not require you to create an account. You can use all features of the app without providing any personal information.
VocabMe does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The app can be used by children without sharing any personal data.
Since all data is stored locally on your device, the security of your vocabulary data is dependent on your device's security settings. We recommend using device passcode/biometric authentication to protect your data.
